Technical Solutions Provider Appointed at CARIS Asia PacificCARIS, the world's leading marine GIS organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Kruimel as CARIS Asia Pacific's Technical Solutions Provider.

This new position will enable CARIS to offer additional technical expertise to CARIS' expanding client base in the Asia Pacific region. Daniel Kruimel's role as Technical Solutions Provider, involves providing clients with training and technical support to make sure that CARIS users get the most possible value from their software.

Daniel Kruimel is based out of the Australia office in Adelaide, South Australia and joins Christian Fellinger, Account Manager for Asia Pacific. Welcoming Daniel Kruimel to the Australian office, Christian Fellinger said, "I feel it is important, with our expanding business in this region, to continue to offer the best possible service to our clients and Daniel will help ensure that we continue to meet the highest standards."

Daniel Kruimel graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Geinformatics and Surveying (with Honours). Through his academic achievement, Daniel was presented with the Institution of Surveyors Prize and the R W Paynter Memorial Prize. He is an active member of the geospatial industry, currently being the Communications Representative for the Hydrography Commission of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute. In his career he has been involved in hydrographic projects throughout Australia, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea. He has experience working on a variety of bathymetric and sidescan surveys through the use of multibeam swath systems.

Commenting on his new appointment, Daniel Kruimel is enthusiastic about his new role at CARIS: "I've always enjoyed working in the hydrography industry and look forward to my new role with CARIS Asia Pacific. With my experience in conducting hydrographic surveys in the Asia Pacific region and my links with the industry, I feel I can offer real value to our clients in the region and help to further promote the discipline of hydrography."
