The Teledyne SevenCs S-101 Writer is a plug-in for the Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) from Safe Software Inc., designed to support the production of next-generation Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) compliant with IHO S-101.

Used alongside FME, the plug-in enables hydrographic offices and ENC producers to convert geospatial data from a wide range of formats and databases into S-101-compliant ENCs — including direct conversion from S-57 to S-101. This makes it an essential tool for organisations transitioning to the new IHO S-100 framework.

Underpinning the S-101 Writer is Teledyne SevenCs proven S-100 technology, ensuring fast data access, reliable performance, and full compliance with the S-101 data model. The plug-in was developed in close collaboration with Safe Software Inc. and its partner con terra GmbH.
