About the Author
Cosmo is a Lieutenant in the Italian Navy who holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Geomatics with additional specialization in Oceanography. In 2018, Cosmo will obtain FIG/IHO Category A Level Hydrographic Surveyor certification. Previously chief of the hydrographic department of ITS MAGNAGHI, he is the current chief of the hydrographic department of ITS GALATEA, a coastal hydrographic survey vessel of the Italian Navy.
About the Image
Porto Rotondo (NE Sardinia) bathymetric data acquired with Kongsberg multibeam EM 2040C during Italian Navy 2016 hydrographic campaign. High resolution survey highlighted the ria-type submarine features.
