CARIS BASE Editor training for the Danish Hydrographic Office

CARIS’ Charles De Jongh pictured with Danish Hydrographic Office staff during BASE Editor training. The Danish Hydrographic Office (part of the Danish Geodata Agancy) has expanded its use of CARIS BASE Editor as an important tool in their chart production processes. The agency has already been a user of BASE Editor and other CARIS tools for many years, and wished to have additional staff members trained in the software.

Following the training course, consultancy was provided to help achieve optimal workflows for the diverse tasks performed by the hydrographic office. For instance, the Danish Hydrographic Office makes charts for the waters around both Denmark and Greenland. The waters around the two countries are very different: around Denmark the water is generally shallow with sand bottoms; around Greenland the waters have steep and rocky slopes.

The training and consultancy was provided to help ensure that new and experienced CARIS users at the hydrographic office achieve their goals in the most efficient manner.
