The symposium is being held alongside GEBCO’s technical and guiding committee meetings and will contribute to the future directions of the Seabed 2030 world ocean mapping initiative.

His address at the symposium will speak about the importance of data standards to support the interoperability of bathymetry data, as well as discussing the industry’s latest trends such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for sonar noise removal, and bathymetry management and access through cloud-based web services.
