CARIS recently held a HIPS and SIPS training course in the Geumcheon-gu district of Seoul, South Korea. The training course was lead by CARIS’ Daniel Kruimel and Eduardo Infante. The course was coordinated and delivered through collaboration with HYUNDAI e-MARINE, the CARIS Alliance Partner for the region, and their sales manager, Peter Kim.
The primary focus of the course was to learn more about the CUBE algorithm and associated processing workflows. New features of the recent HIPS and SIPS 7.1.1 release were also highlighted, such as Water Column Imaging and improved GeoCoder processing workflows.
Approximately 40 participants from government organizations, including Korea Oceanographic and Hydrographic Association (KOHA) and Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration (KHOA), academia and a large number of private industry companies took part in the course to make it a success.
