The details of a development project with the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) to enhance the raster chart production capabilities of CARIS HPD were recently finalized in Taunton, UK. The project will ultimately result in the decommissioning of the legacy "Abrahams Revelations" system which has been used to produce and maintain the UKHO's raster chart portfolio for many years.

HPD will undergo a series of enhancements over the next three years to fully meet the UKHO's raster charting needs, including many upgrades to the Paper Chart Editor and existing Raster Module. This will allow the UKHO to use the same system for both raster and vector chart production which will streamline workflows and make training easier.

The UKHO project team will be visiting CARIS in Fredericton in June for the official Project kickoff meeting!
