CARIS HIPS and SIPS used to support diverse acquisition systems

To help improve their working knowledge of CARIS HIPS and SIPS tools, researchers from the Oceanographic Centres of Málaga and Cádiz attended a five-day training course provided by CARIS at the IEO centre in Fuengirola, Spain.

Attendees appreciated the versatility of CARIS HIPS and SIPS as it supports a variety of acquisition systems and can handle a large number of data formats. This is a real challenge that IEO researchers face as the acquisition systems present in the oceanographic fleet are very diverse. The training provided IEO researchers the ability to process their hydrographic data, regardless of the acquisition system used during the survey.

During the training, attendees expressed their satisfaction with the training and commented that the HIPS and SIPS tools and functionalities are designed for easy understanding and access.
