The opening speaker for the CARIS 2012 International Users conference has been announced as the Honorable Keith Ashfield, Canada’s Minister of Fisheries and Oceans. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans is the home of our long-standing partner, the Canadian Hydrographic Service. Minister Ashfield is also the Member of Parliament for Fredericton, New Brunswick, the birthplace of CARIS! We are thrilled that the Minister will be speaking at CARIS 2012 in Vancouver and hope to see you there as well.
