Discover the difference with water column imaging in HIPS and SIPS

Water column data in 3D (EM3002 data supplied by University of New Brunswick Ocean Mapping Group).CARIS' all in one hydrographic data processing solution, HIPS and SIPS, is about to become even more comprehensive with the integration of water column imaging. In the latest version of HIPS and SIPS 7.1.1, scheduled for release in January, you can see the difference water column data can make for increased productivity.

With water column data you'll be able to extract even more qualitative information from your sonar to reduce the number of run lines and save you time and money in your survey operations. HIPS and SIPS 7.1.1 allows you to analyze water column data directly in 3D and 2D, and without the need for any additional software.

You can take control of the water column information through functions that have been seamlessly integrated into existing workflows. You'll be able to display polar plots for individual profiles, stacked views of multiple profiles, and load water column data as a 3D point cloud while applying filters to clearly identify features that the sonar’s bottom detection may have missed.

With HIPS and SIPS 7.1.1 and the new water column imaging tools, you’ll have access to information to complete the view between the sea surface and seafloor and to aid in your existing bathymetric cleaning and decision-making processes.
