CARIS releases HPD 3.0

The new dynamic masking in the HPD 3.0 release supports double-line symbolization, as shown in the enlarged image.CARIS is pleased to announce the release of CARIS Hydrographic Production Database (HPD) 3.0. CARIS’ flagship enterprise GIS solution, HPD provides efficiency in maintaining source data and the production of multiple marine products from a single database.

Significant new features and functions have been added to the latest version of HPD 3.0, including the addition of a 64-bit application. Users who process large amounts of data will benefit from this as it will result in faster displays, faster exports and other operations where raster processing is involved. HPD 3.0 also includes a much simplified deployment process. A dynamic masking method is now available, along with enhanced editing and checking tools for raster charting. HPD Publications provides an easier way to build custom catalogues for your publication needs.

In addition, HPD 3.0 offers expanded product options for paper charts and Inland Electronic Navigational Charts (IENCs), where different versions of an IENC product can now be created and managed. The Feature Palette has been redesigned and can handle several features in a single operation.

CARIS clients who have a valid CARIS HPD subscription can now download HPD 3.0 from the CARIS Online Customer Services website. Individuals new to HPD can contact info@caris.com or their account representative for more information and a quote.
