MosaicHydro, in partnership with CARIS, is offering a five-day training course for surveyors new to multibeam echosounder surveys. Whether you are an experienced single beam surveyor or new to marine surveys, this course will teach you to be an effective multibeam operator and postprocessor.

The training course will take place during May 7 – 11, 2012 in Buffalo, New York. The five-day training course will include in-depth classroom training on multibeam theory of operation, setup, operation and post-processing in CARIS HIPS and SIPS, including water column processing. Participants will also spend over six hours onboard a multibeam vessel completing a minor survey.

Training will be held at the Holiday Inn Grand Island Resort and Conference Center. As space is limited, it’s recommended to register early. CARIS clients that register prior to April 9 will receive an early-bird discount of $500 off the training cost and a special room rate of $89 per night.
