Teledyne CARIS provides bindings for scripting with the Python programming language. These bindings provide a simple, consistent model to automate and integrate data and operations with external functions and software.

Prerequisites¶

To use the CARIS Python binding, the following must be installed on the workstation where the scripts will be executed:

BASE Editor ^TM OR HIPS ^TM and SIPS ^TM OR HPD ^TM
Python 3.9, 3,10, or 3.11. If using the Coverage module, the numpy Python module must also be installed.

Note

The architecture of Python must match that of the installed CARIS application, i.e. 64-bit.
