CARIS Offers Free Workshops on Latest Releases at Ocean Business 2011

CARIS Offers Free Workshops on Latest Releases at Ocean Business 2011The Ocean Business exhibition at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, England has quickly established itself as one of the premier events for showcasing the latest in ocean technology. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that CARIS is playing an active role at the exhibition over the course of the three-day exhibition, taking place from April 5-7.

As well as demonstrating their software at stand A17, CARIS will be holding two workshops highlighting the new features in the latest releases of two of the powerful components of its unique Ping-to-Chart solution.

The first workshop, on April 5th at 11:00-12:00 in AV Room 124, will outline the latest developments in hydrographic processing using the latest HIPS and SIPS software, version 7.1.

The second workshop, on April 6th at 15:00-17:00 in AV Room 124, will outline the benefits of storage and management of high density bathymetric surfaces using the latest Bathy DataBASE software, version 3.1.

The workshops are an excellent way for CARIS to communicate to users and potential users the latest features, tools and functionality of the software, and will include a presentation and demonstration.

"Our workshops at the exhibitions we attend are always very popular. This will especially be the case with our Bathy DataBASE workshop,” said Trish Groves, account manager at CARIS and one of the presenters at the workshops. “The bathymetric market is clearly moving more and more to a marine spatial data infrastructure, and we are seeing a growing demand for a good quality data management solution. I encourage attendees at Ocean Business to register early and to visit us at our stand," she added.

The workshops are open to attendees of Ocean Business 2011 and are free.
