Brazilian Navy continues implementation of Bathy DataBASE

The Diretoria de Hidrografía e Navegacao (DHN) of the Brazilian Navy continues to advance in its implementation of Bathy DataBASE. Last week, DHN completed a customized training course with CARIS’ Eduardo Infante, to learn how to populate their Bathy DataBASE with data collected across the Brazilian territory. The stored bathymetric datasets will be used as source for DHN´s hydrographic and cartographic production and will streamline the process of maintaining Brazilian charts.

Emphasis was given to Bathy DataBASE's Simple Attribute Plugin and ServerLoader command line tools. These tools improve productivity dramatically by allowing users to batch upload surfaces and point clouds to the database, along with the relevant metadata.
