UKHO project team experiences New Brunswick

UKHO and CARIS staff on the ferry crossing the Saint John River during their tour of New Brunswick.A team from the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) recently visited CARIS’ headquarters to continue work on the UKHO raster chart project. This project will enhance the raster chart production capabilities of CARIS HPD to enable the removal of the legacy "Abrahams Revelations" system which has been used to produce and maintain the UKHO's raster chart portfolio for many years.

During the visit the team went on a picturesque tour of New Brunswick which included a drive along the beautiful Saint John River surrounded by vibrant fall colours. Members of Queens County Heritage opened their doors to The Tilley House, the birthplace of Samuel Leonard Tilley New Brunswick’s outstanding Father of Confederation, where CARIS and UKHO staff enjoyed an interpretive tour and a New Brunswick harvest meal.
